Ring

The unbroken hoop is an ancient and potent symbol of the eternal nature of the Earth Goddess and the fertility and fruitfullness she embodies. In ancient art she is often depicted as wearing a neckring. As such the ring has been known to be used to swear sacred oaths upon in Germanic heathen religious rites. This tradition is still widely continued today with the tradition of the Wedding ring, and the sacred Oath Ring.
